National Day of Prayer

Good morning.  People of faith are worshipping at home today, mostly.  We’re blessed with our church’s sermons on YouTube, others are holding church through an internet live feed.  Really, all you need is your own heart and mind focused on our creator.  If you’re self-isolating or in quarantine, consider it a blessing if you’re not doing so alone.

As Jesus said in Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

We’re self-isolating for the sake of a family member with a compromised immune system.

For many, this is their first major disaster, but a lot of us have lived through much worse.  Think of everything Americans lived through in the first half of the 20th Century, for example.  World War I, the Flu Pandemic of 1918, the Great Depression, and World War II.  And to think, they survived most of that without toilet paper!  And they certainly didn’t have the Internet.

We’re going to be fine.  We come from tough stuff.
