A very nice author, Samantha Tonge ,on Twitter blogged about what she likes in a Romance novel hero.

I Tweeted back what I like.
- Good with Babies
- Humble
- Courageous Enough to Grow
- Cares for Those Around Him
- Has a Code of Honor
Interestingly, my husband has all those things.
So do some of my favorite actors, James Stewart, Liam Neeson,
and Tom Selleck. This is what you call a Character Archetype. That is, it’s a character type which has been imitated to great effect. Good to know there are real life versions, because I probably never would have gotten married or had children. In fact, my first ‘book boyfriend’ character was a shining example and helped me learn what to look for in a real guy. That would be Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
So, if you find yourself drawn to a particular kind of guy, this is probably why. Go with it. 😉 You might just live happily ever after.
Happy Monday

P.S. Sorry about the big white spaces. Tried to fix them, but they just wouldn’t go away for this particular post.
